Banking

Banking- this word directly shows us the image of a bank. With rapid success of Indian Economy, it is also necessary to increase the facilities of bank not only to make banking smoother but also for growth of nation, industrial upgrowth and international trade. With the required steps, banks are offering a wide range of services with all latest technology like ATM (Automated Teller Machine) - for 24 hrs withdrawal of money, Internet Banking, Mobile Banking, Demat Services, Corporate and International Banking, and n number of NRI Services. Not only a single sector i.e. private sector is taking these steps, government sector is also running towards the destiny of a framed Indian Economy.

This growing industry is hungry for marketing of its shares and other policies and hence banks are catering to it with their Merchant Banking divisions. As it is already discussed that banking is not only limited to opening of an account and play with the savings, it is surrounding with its number of disciplines like:

Electronic Banking:

Electronic Banking is also known as Electronic Fund Transfer, done through an automated teller machine (ATM) to access cash 24 hrs or Direct Deposits of paychecks.

Private Banking:

Private Banking is itself reflecting the term, when bank provides customer services on a more personal basis. Private Banking is a type of banking only; it is not referred to Private Banks.

Internet Banking/ Online Banking:

Online or Internet Banking allows the customers to conduct their financial transactions on a secure website.

Investment Banking:

Investment banking not just helps companies but also government in raising money by issuing and selling securities in the capital markets.

Because of one of the most challenging sectors in the country, hence required openings for various levels i.e. for Bank clerical level to Probationary Officers (PO).

Bank work offers a very good job security and salary too.

Bank Members:

MANAGER:

Bank Manager is directly responsible from the hiring process through to the training and supervision to ensure that all bank employees follow standard bank policies and procedure for handling money and working with customers.

Bank Manager is also responsible for maintaining and increasing the deposits on hand at the bank and for this they have to work closely with bank president and marketing team and also for developing various beneficial programmes. Banks have to compete with other banks and with other financial institutions. A good service increases business and generates profits. Hence managers are required to know their region well, the type of customers they are catering to and the services they will require.

STAFF IN BANK:

Bank work involves various regular things like installment loans for houses, vehicles, providing customer services and keeping records of business and personal accounts. More work and responsibilities requires more working hands. Therefore, staff of bank also includes Typists, secretaries, file clerks, custodians, messengers, receptionists and safe deposit attendants etc which makes work easy and service faster.

OTHER PROFESSIONALS:

Bank also requires persons like engineers, language specialists, lawyers etc. Both men and women are eligible for all the post of a bank i.e. from a manager to a receptionist. Teachers, pharmacist (chemist), social scientists are also employed by some banks.

BANK ENVIRONMENT:

Bank fosters an environment of opportunity, where employees can learn a lot, grow and achieve their career potential. Bank career also makes a person more responsible to cater their customers in a good manner with all their facilities. Learning environment in a bank lifts its employees as well as customers.
