let 1kg sample of our solution giving us 980g H2SO4 and 20g solvent (based on the mass %age)

20g solvent = .02kg solvent

980 g H2SO4 / 98 g/mol = 10mol H2SO4 (98g/mol is the molar mass of H2SO4)

10mol H2SO4 / .02kg solvent = 500 molal
